For those traveling from afar, Hilo International Airport is a convenient 40 minutes away, and we recommend renting a vehicle for the best way to navigate the stunning landscapes of the Big Island.

The high-altitude location of Volcano, sitting at about 4000 feet, fosters a tropical climate where rain can grace the area at any moment. As temperatures can drop at night, be sure to pack warm clothing alongside your swimsuits. Please note that the water on our property is not suitable for drinking, so guests are encouraged to bring their own drinking water during their stay.

The private estate features a main house containing two separate apartments: the one-bedroom Gecko Room and the cozy studio Volcano Room, both equipped with fully functional kitchens. A scenic pathway leads you to the other two units—Nene Room and Hapu’u Room—which offer their own private entrances, kitchenettes, and full bathrooms.

Immerse yourself in the rich biodiversity of our vibrant tropical forest filled with ferns and beautiful Hawaiian flora. Each room boasts expansive wall-to-wall windows, allowing you to gaze upon the enchanting rainforest and truly connect with the spirit of Hawaii.

You will have exclusive access to the entire private property of The Pacifica Inn. Enjoy the convenience of free parking available right in front of the house, accommodating up to four vehicles, as street parking is not permitted.

Please be aware that there is a towel fee of $5.00 for any towels that are missing, damaged, or irreparably stained. A public bus service, the Hele-On bus, conveniently connects you to the National Park. By booking this unit, guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Pacifica Inn, its owners, agents, employees, and servants from any claims related to injuries, property damage, or other losses during your stay.
